We are a community of Catholic Christians in Turkmenistan.
The modern history of the Roman Catholic Church in Turkmenistan started in 1996
when diplomatic relations
were established with the Holy See.
The Transfiguration Chapel has been working for a number of years under the Apostolic Nunciature in Ashgabat
at the following address: 20/A Gyorogli street.
Daily church services are held, including English language services on Sundays at 6 p.m.
Our priests are OMI’s (Oblates of Mary Immaculate): Father Andrzej Madej,
Father Rafał Chilimoniuk
and Father Paweł Szlacheta.
There are several groups in the community, which are as follows:
Biblical, Preaching, Youth and Children’s group, a living Rose, and Oasis.
“Jesus teaches us another way: Go out. Go out and share your testimony, go out and interact with your brothers, go out and share, go out and ask. Become the Word in body as well as spirit.”
— Pope Francis
